Sue’s path to being a beacon of support began long before her cancer diagnosis. In 1989, she was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. Her gastroenterologist saw a strength in Sue that she hadn’t yet recognized in herself and asked her to support others with bowel diseases, along with their caregivers, families, and friends. Rising to the challenge, Sue not only became a mentor but also served as President of the Halton Chapter of Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation. Over the years, Sue’s guidance and compassion have helped thousands cope, heal, and move forward.
